Most questions get settled on that call in under five minutes. We are not going to book a visit you do not need.

Have these four things ready

1. Your city. Housing eras differ enough across the county that this genuinely changes the answer.
2. Roughly when the house was built. Within a decade is fine. This predicts foundation type, and foundation type sets the price.
3. Basement, crawl space, or both. "Both" is common here and usually means two suction points.
4. Any test result you already have. A number from a kit often lets us scope the job over the phone with no visit at all.

Three things worth checking before you dial

Any of these can change the conversation, and two of them can end it without you spending anything:

• Look for a white capped pipe in your basement or garage, often labelled. If it is there, you may need a fan fitted rather than a whole system.
• Find the manometer if a system already exists — the small clear U-tube on the pipe. Level liquid in both columns means the fan has stopped.
• Locate your sump and note whether it has a sealed lid or sits open. An open pit is the first thing we would address.

Before you call

What should I have ready when I call?

Your city, roughly when the house was built, whether you have a basement or crawl space or both, and any radon test result you already have. If you have a number from a kit, that alone lets us tell you whether you need a visit.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. The diagnostic visit and the written quote are free. We will also tell you when an inexpensive test kit from the county Extension office would answer your question without any visit at all.
